Crispa Snacks, an Azerbaijani company producing apple chips, plans to expand the list of export destinations of its products by the end of 2019, head of the company's sales department Fiday Ibrahimov told Trend.
In this regard, since early 2019, the company has increased output by almost three times, Ibrahimov said.
"We are currently exporting to Russia and the UAE and in the coming months we plan to increase exports of apple chips to these two countries. In the autumn of 2019, the company plans to begin exporting its products to Germany and is currently negotiating with European partners. Primary exports may be small, approximately 50 tons. As a rule, our average export batches are 100 tons or more," he said.
The department head noted that French varieties of green and red apples, which are grown in Gusar district of Azerbaijan, are used in the production of dried apple chips.
"We produce dried apple chips from apples of the Royal Gala and Granny Smith varieties without GMO. Three apples are used for the production of one package of finished product. The retail price of one package is 1.8 manat," Ibrahimov said.
Ibrahimov added that the company periodically demonstrates its products at international exhibitions.
"Recently, our products were demonstrated at an exhibition in Shanghai, where we took the opportunity to find new partners. We are currently negotiating with potential partners in the Chinese market and in the coming months we plan to determine the specific volumes of exports to Shanghai," he said.
Crispa Snacks has been on the market since 2018.
