Statistics on inflation in Georgia revealed

In June 2019, the inflation rate in Georgia was one percent, and the annual inflation rate was 4.3 percent, Trend reports with reference to National Statistics Office.
According to the data provided, compared with the previous month, there was a decrease by 3.9 in the group of food and non-alcoholic beverages. Prices for vegetables and melons decreased by 27.9 percent, prices for fruits and grapes - by 5.8 percent). At the same time, prices for sugar, jam and other sweets increased by 1.3 percent, while for milk, cheese and eggs by 0.7 percent.
In the sphere of transport, prices rose by 0.9 percent. Prices of vehicles increased by 1.1 percent and for the operation of personal vehicles by 1.0 percent.
In health care, increase in prices by 0.8 percent is recorded. The prices of medical products rose by 1.9 percent and for the equipment by 1.9 percent.
As for annual inflation rate, prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages prices increased by 6.5 percent, of alcoholic beverages and tobacco - by 20.1 percent. Prices in the field of transport increased by 3.2 percent, in the field of recreation, entertainment and culture by 5 percent; and in the health sector by 2.9 percent.
