Implementing intelligent agriculture is one of the most important policies of Iran's Ministry of Agriculture, said Deputy Minister for Development and Resources.
"The intelligent agriculture is on the agenda and is to be implemented by service centers that will discuss it with IT experts and researchers and rapidly transfer technology to farms," said Mohammad Reza Talaei, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
"Intelligent agriculture is underway in many centers in provinces to be used as a model," he added. "By hiring IT experts and providing facilities, these centers will be closely connected with farmers."
"The IT experts should gain some knowledge about agriculture, so training for them is on the agenda," he noted. "Using the Poud system is one of the positive steps taken by Ministry of Agriculture, as it will help to collect useful data, connect IT experts with researchers and solve the farmers problems faster."
"Considering the speed of technology development in agriculture, we can foresee promising future for the sector," he said.
