Kazakhstan's region to renew agricultural machinery

Some 1,600 units of new agricultural machinery will be purchased in North Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan, Trend reports with reference to Kazinform news agency.

“Tractors' deterioration percentage must be decreased to 65 percent, whereas combine harvesters' deterioration percentage must be decreased to 50 percent,” said Marat Tasmaganbetov, Deputy Akim (head) of the region.

Every year, agriculture machinery of the region gets renewed by two percent on average.In 2019, farmers purchased 958 units of machinery worth 17 billion tenge, the news report reads.

“This year, 169 tractors, 56 sowing complexes, 313 grain distributors and 55 harvesting combines were purchased. Furthermore, investments for purchase of agriculture machinery increase each year,” Tasmaganbetov added. “Some 1,200 units of machinery worth 23.5 billion tenge were purchased in 2017, whereas in 2018 this number increased to 1,500 units worth 29.1 billion tenge.”

As reported, the value of subsidies for machinery and equipment purchase amounts to 7.8 billion tenge this year.
