Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) Ravshan Usmanov held talks with founder of Malaysia’s largest wholesale mall GM Klang Wholesale City Lim Seng Kok on July 9, 2019, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

During the meeting, issues of further development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed, including increasing the volume and diversification of exports of Uzbek products to Malaysia.

As a result, an agreement was reached for the provision of premises by the Malaysian side, on a gratuitous basis for one year, in the central pavilion of the GM Klang Wholesale City center for opening a trading house in the form of a showroom of Uzbekistan’s exported products.

Moreover, the sides agreed on the organization of the visit of Lim Seng Kok to Uzbekistan in October 2019 to consider the possibility of creating a similar large shopping center in Uzbekistan.

The wholesale center “GM Klang Wholesale City” founded in 2009 is located in the largest Malaysian port of Klang, near Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

The shopping center consists of three blocks with a total area of about 140,000 square meters, which can accommodate 2,500 retail outlets. Nowadays, companies from more than 20 countries of the world present their products in this wholesale hub.
