Georgia intends to increase exports of fruits and vegetables to Kazakhstan

Georgia and Kazakhstan agreed to strengthen trade relations between the countries and consider the possibility of exporting Georgian fruits and vegetables to Kazakhstan, Trend reports citing commersant.ge.

The prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting of Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Levan Davitashvili with representatives of the Food Contract Corporation of Kazakhstan. The meeting held at the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture was also attended by First Deputy Minister Georgi Khanishvili, Deputy Minister Khatia Tsilosani and representatives of the private sector of Georgia.

The parties also discussed the issues related to importing wheat and flour from Kazakhstan and to storage, drying and processing of grain crops in Georgia.
