The number of cars sold by official dealers of Kazakhstan amounted to 30,754 units during 1H2019, which is 18.3 percent more than during the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to KazAutoProm’s press office.
Furthermore, Kazakhs spent 282.5 billion tenge on new cars during the reporting period, which is 30.9 percent more than in the same period of the previous year.
The number of cars sold in Kazakhstan in June equaled to 6,038 units, which is 12.5 percent more than in June 2018. The value of market amounted to 56.1 billion tenge, which shows increase by 14.3 percent.
Some 55.8 percent of customers chose to purchase locally manufactured cars, whereas 44.2 percent purchased imported cars.
During the reporting period, LADA cars proved to be the most popular among the customers. The number of LADA purchases equaled to 7,341 units. The number of sold Toyota and Hyundai cars amounted to 6,641 and 6,010 units respectively.
The status of the largest dealership group on the local market traditionally goes to Bipek Auto – Asia Auto Holding. Some 33.5 percent of the sold cars volume accounts for this holding.
The largest number of cars was purchased in Almaty city (8,223 units), Nur-Sultan city (6,079 units) and Atyrau city (2,059 units).
