There is a major scope into development of flights from Kazakhstan to Uzbek regions, not just Tashkent, a source from Kazakh national airlines Air Astana told Trend in an interview.
“In development further, we would be looking particular into connectivity between regional centers of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, the biggest shortage currently,” representative said.
A source stated that the execution is a key to the success and there is scope to serve air markets in the future, contributing to mobility, affordable travel and boosting both incoming and internal tourism of other countries.
“That includes Uzbekistan where we believe there is a strong potential” representative added.
Recently, Trend reported that Kazakh Air Astana’s subsidiary the low-cost airline FlyArystan may open branch in Uzbekistan.
Considering this issue, a representative stated Air Astana has no formal engagements at this stage.
