Major Russian bank's subsidiary to expand activity in Kazakhstan (Exclusive)

Kazakh subsidiary bank of major Russian Sberbank is planning to open a number of additional service points across the country, a source in the bank told Trend.

According to the source, the bank will open these points in 14 different cities of Kazakhstan.

“Additional service points will be created in cities such as Nur-Sultan, Atyrau, Kulsary, Temirtau, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Balkhash, Stepnogorsk, Zhezqazghan, Ridder, Ust'-Kamenogorsk, Shymkent, Taraz and Pavlodar,” the source added.

The expansion of Sberbank’s geographical presence is among the reasons for the expansion. The source further stated, that creation of new service points will positively affect the recognition of the brand and will lead to a significant expansion of client base.

Recently, Sberbank opened new service points in one of the cities of Atyrau region and within the territory of Astana International Financial Centre.
