Imported beef, mutton, livestock and products manufactured by processing these types of meat are now eligible for 20 percent preference in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to Uzbek media.
The preference on import will last till October 1, 2019. This measure is aimed at providing citizens with steady supply of meat products.
Recently, VAT was lifted from some times of meat, such as beef, mutton and chicken in Uzbekistan, as well as livestock and poultry and products manufactured by processing these types of meat in the country.
The VAT was lifted in order to stop the prices increase on food products observed in Uzbekistan.
