The number of cars manufactured in Kazakhstan amounted to 20,623 units worth 144.8 billion tenge during 1H2019, Trend reports with reference to “KazAutoProm” association.
Furthermore, the volume of manufacturing increased by 40.4 percent in the reporting period compared to the same period last year.
“The number of passenger cars manufactured amounted to 18,753 units, which is 36.6 percent more than during the same period of the previous year. The number of buses equaled to 674 units, which is 4.2 times more than in the same period of 2018. The manufacturing of trucks (325 units) increased by 41.3 percent. The number of specialized vehicles manufactured decreased to 28 units,” the report said.
“The number of vehicles manufactured in June equaled 3,702 units, which is 31.1 percent more than during June 2018,” the statement said.
“Furthermore, the number of cars sold by the local plants amounted to 17,913 units, which is 39.5 percent more than during the same period of last year,” the report said.
During 1H2019 the most popular passenger cars brands proved to be LADA (7,220 units), Hyundai (5,956 units), KIA (1,744 units), Skoda (475 units) и Chevrolet (439 units).
