Hotel price index in Georgia increased by 1.5 percent in June 2019 compared to May 2019, Trend reports via agenda.ge.
The 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotel price index increased by 3.6 percent, while for guesthouses the price index decreased by 0.1 percent.
In June 2019, compared to June 2018, hotel prices in Georgia decreased by 2.9 percent. The prices of 3-star, 4-star, 5-star hotels decreased by 7.3 percent, while the prices of guesthouses increased by 9.9 percent.
Meanwhile, the average cost of a room in a 3-star hotel was 137 lari per night in June 2019. The average cost of a room in a 4-star hotel in Georgia was 232 lari per night and the average cost of a room in a guesthouse was 76 lari per night.
The average cost of a room in a 5-star hotel in Georgia in June 2019 was 448 lari per night. In Tbilisi, the average price was 618 lari, followed by Samtskhe-Javakheti - 417 lari, Adjara – 384 lari, and Kakheti - 369 lari.
In June 2019, compared to May 2019, the number of international travelers’ trips in Georgia increased by 20.8 percent.
In June 2019, compared to June 2018, the number of international travelers’ trips in Georgia increased by 19.9 percent.
