Azerbaijan’s company Aqrovest, engaged in the production of hazelnuts in the Zaqatala district of the country, has switched to a partial mode of operation, a source in the company told Trend.
“This measure is of a seasonal nature, and because the company doesn’t have the necessary volumes of raw materials for processing,” the source said. “All products of the company, produced in the previous season, have been fully sold. The company will start operating at full capacity in September, when a new harvest of hazelnuts will appear. The company is able to process up to 700 tons of hazelnuts annually.”
The source added that the company plans to expand the geography of exports of its products to the countries of the former Soviet Union. “Products are mainly exported to Russia and Belarus, and we plan to increase exports to these markets, as well as to look for new partners here,” the source noted.
The products of the company have a certificate of conformity issued by the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan.
The company uses modern equipment made in Germany.
