Following the meeting in the Kaliningrad region of Russia, the Uzbek delegation reached agreements with a number of companies on the possible implementation of joint investment projects in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Uzbek Ambassador to Russia, Botirzhon Asadov, during a visit to the Kaliningrad region discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in the economic sphere with the head of the region Anton Alikhanov.
"During the meeting, the current state and prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, investment and tourism were discussed," the ministry’s reported.
Foreign Ministry notes that Alikhanov stressed the presence of a big untapped potential for increasing ties in these areas and reported on the interest in importing Uzbek agricultural products on a systematic basis.
Following the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached with Kaliningrad’s companies Vagontreyd Plus, System Oil and Gas Baltic, SPAR-Kaliningrad, RAS, Mik-Avia and others on the possible implementation of joint investment projects in Uzbekistan.
