Iran discloses volume of products exported from Isfahan province

Some 2.45 million tons of products were exported from Iran’s Isfahan province during four months (March 21 - July 22) of this Iranian year (March 21, 2019), director general of the customs administration of Isfahan province Rasul Kuhestani said.

The products worth $2.5 billion were exported to 77 countries, Kuhestani added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

He said that the export of goods increased by 37 percent in terms of weight and by 175 percent in terms of value during four months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year.

Iron and steel worth $624 million, petrochemicals worth $264 million, organic chemicals worth $88 million and carpets worth $54 million were exported from Isfahan province, Kuhestani noted.

He said that the products worth $485 million (24 percent of the total volume) were exported to Iraq, the products worth $286 million (14 percent) - to China, the products worth $176 million (9 percent) - to Afghanistan, the products worth $131 million (6 percent) - to Pakistan and the products worth $124 million (6 percent) - to the United Arab Emirates.

Kuhestani noted that the revenues of the province for the four months of this Iranian year reached 1.19 trillion rials ($28.5 million), which is 88 percent more compared to the same period of last Iranian year.

He went on to say that 39,400 tons worth $169 million were imported through Isfahan customs during four months of this Iranian year, which is by 82 percent more in terms of weight and 65 percent more in terms of value compared to the same period of last Iranian year.

Kuhestani added that major share among the imported products comprised electrical equipment worth $48 million, mechanical equipment worth $33 million and cast iron worth $20 million.

The products were mainly imported from China (19 percent), Malaysia – (14 percent), Italy – (13 percent), Germany - (13 percent) and South Korea (12 percent), he said.
