The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) ranked first in terms of value of customer accounts and deposits in 2018, Trend reports referring to the bank’s audited report.
The value of customer deposits amounted to 4.364 billion manats, which makes 23.5 percent of all bank deposits. In January-December last year, the bank reduced the value of deposits by 16.7 percent.
PASHA Bank ranked second with total deposits of 3.953 billion manats (21.3 percent of all deposits). During the year, the value of deposits increased by 36.8 percent.
Kapital Bank ranked third with the value of deposits at 2.948 billion manats (15.9 percent of all deposits). Over 12 months of last year, the value of deposits increased by 24.8 percent.

The total liabilities of Azerbaijan’s banking sector over the past year increased by 5.03 percent to 25.431 billion manats. The biggest share of liabilities accounted for deposits - 73.06 percent, or 18.581 billion manats (an increase of 9.98 percent since the beginning of the year). The value of deposits of individuals amounted to 8.27 billion manats, legal entities - to 10.31 billion manats.
