Azerbaijan’s Unibank increases assets by almost 30%

The total assets of Azerbaijan’s Unibank amounted to 799.494 million manats for the second quarter of 2019, which is 28.7 percent more than in the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to the bank’s financial report.

According to the report, more than a half of the assets (50.6 percent) accounts for the loan portfolio, the volume of which increased by 22 percent up to 404.703 million manats during the reporting period. The volume of cash and cash equivalents increased by 5.4 times up to 182.851 million manats.

The volume of fixed assets in the form of real estate and equipment decreased by 19.1 percent. Investments in securities increased by 2.3 times and reached 43.278 million manats. The volume of bank receivables amounted to 60.167 million manats.

The volume of total liabilities for the reporting period increased by 25.4 percent and reached 681.029 million manats. In the structure of liabilities, the main share accounts for client accounts and deposits (77.7 percent), the volume of which increased by 47.5 percent and reached 529.229 million manats.

The volume of term loans amounted to 84.872 million manats. The debts to other banks reached 41.615 million manats. The subordinated debt amounted to 17.037 million manats.

The bank's capital amounted to 118.464 million manats at the end of June 2019, including the share capital worth $125,686 and uncovered loss - 7.706 million manats.

Unibank was established in October 2002 and is among the Azerbaijani ten leading banks.
