As results of the negotiations between the зresidents of Belarus and Uzbekistan in the Palace of Independence of Belarus today, 12 joint documents on the development of interaction at various levels were concluded, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
The heads of states personally signed a joint statement.
Intergovernmental agreements have been concluded on industrial, scientific and technical cooperation, on interregional cooperation, on mutual encouragement and protection of investments, on the mutual recognition of documents on education and training.
The ministries of defense of the two countries concluded an agreement on the mutual transfer of secret information in the implementation of bilateral cooperation.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus and the State Committee of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection have also concluded an agreement on cooperation in the field of environmental protection.
In addition, documents were signed on cooperation in the field of media, publishing, printing; on mutual understanding between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Innovation Development of Uzbekistan; cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies; on cooperation in the fight against customs offenses.
The agreement on the establishment of the Business Council was concluded by the Chambers of Commerce of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
