Kazakhstan to attract investments in gold exploration

A total of 454.4 million tenge is to be attracted for the mining exploration work in Kazakhstan’s Almaty region, Trend reports with reference to the LS news agency.

“This sum will be used for development of Ketmen Creek area. According to the reports of a subsoil user, some 80.47 million tenge will be allocated for the work in 2019, whereas 454.4 million tenge of investments are to be attracted,” the report said.

“The timeframe of the contact for exploration is four years, till October 2021. The gold reserves will be estimated following the end of the exploration,” the statement said.

It was reported recently that foreign companies plan to invest up to two billion tenge in gold exploration in Kazakhstan. Thus, currently investors allocated a total of 832 million tenge in exploration work.

The Ketmen area is in Uyghur district of Almaty region.
