In January-July 2019, Azerbaijan imported 1,056.4 tons of cigarettes from Georgia , Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The total value of cigarettes imported by Azerbaijan amounted to $22.93 million.
In annual comparison, the volume of cigarette exports form Georgia to Azerbaijan decreased by 1,584.4 tons. In monetary terms, the reduction amounted to $24.87 million.
Over the same period last year, Azerbaijan imported 2,640.8 tons of cigarettes from Georgia with a total value of $47.81 million.
The trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan in January-July 2019 amounted to $600.59 million. The share of Azerbaijan in the total trade turnover of Georgia for the reporting period amounted to 8.5 percent. Azerbaijan is Georgia’s third largest trading partner after Turkey and Russia.
