Iran discloses trade balance in breeding sea creatures

The trade balance for breeding sea creatures reached $456 million in Iran in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - March 21, 2019), Iran's Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Chairman of the Iran Fisheries Organization Nabiulla Khun Mirzai said.
Some 480,000 tons of fish, shrimps and sturgeon have been bred in the last year, Mirzai added, Trend reports referring to IRNA. He noted that 143,000 tons of sea creatures were exported.
The export value was worth $527 million last Iranian year, Mirzai said.
He added that 60 percent of sea creatures were bred, while 40 percent were caught in Iran.
