Chinese Changan plans to introduce electric vehicle car to Uzbekistan (Exclusive)

Chinese Changan Automobile Group plans to introduce Changan Electric Vehicle car to Uzbekistan, business Manager of Asia & CIS Sales Department of Changan International Corporation Cindy Qi told Trend in an interview.

“We also expect to introduce other classic fuel engine products into the Uzbek market,” Qi said.

She added that Changan Automobile manufactures almost 50 different products in total with most extensive product line covering cars, SUVs, multi-purpose vehicles (MPV), minivans and light buses.

“There is a great growth in electric vehicles area around the world and it drew attention of Uzbek government. We expect the electric vehicle field will have rapid development in Uzbekistan,” she noted.

Recently Trend reported that Changan Automobile Group will establish a joint venture with the Fergana region of Uzbekistan.

“Currently, our target is to find powerful partner in Uzbekistan, and we are open to discuss any cooperation mode in the market, but until now, we haven't start real cooperation; we are in the process of discussion with potential partners in Uzbekistan,” Qi stated.

As Top 4 Chinese automobile group and state owned company in China, Changan Automobile has 34 years’ experience in auto-making with history of 157 years, 15 production bases and 35 vehicle and engine plants globally.

In 2014, accumulative production and sales volume of self-owned brand vehicles exceeded 10 million units.

Annual production and sales volume in 2016 were above 3 million units. Until July of 2018, users of Changan self-brand vehicle had exceeded 17 million.
