French entrepreneurs express interest in doing business in Georgia

French entrepreneurs showed great interest in doing business in Georgia, finding partners in the country and exploring new opportunities, said Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava, Trend reports referring to the ministry.

On August 27, Natia Turnava held a working meeting with President of Medef International Frederick Sanchez and French entrepreneurs. The meeting took place during a visit of high-ranking Georgian delegation led by Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili to France.

The parties discussed economic relations between the two countries. The Georgian side provided French businessmen with new investment opportunities.

According to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, it is important that French entrepreneurs expressed great interest in doing business in Georgia.

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili opens a business forum organized by the largest business association Medef International in France, on August 28. According to the presidential press service, 700 representatives of large French companies including those actively cooperating with the Georgia will participate in the forum.

Medef International is a private, state-independent organization. It unites 800,000 French enterprises and is recognized as an important partner of the French government in both social and economic negotiations.
