Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar region leads by volume of crops harvested

Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar region is among leading regions in the country by the volume of crops harvesting, Head of the Agriculture Department of the region’s akimat Nurlan Sadibekov said, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the regional akimat (administrative center).

Some 150,000 hectares of grain have been harvested in the region, which is 19 percent of the area cultivated this year. Furthermore, 22.8 percent of the land across Kazakhstan have been harvested which equals 3.4 million hectares of grain.

“Some 21,000 tons of lower cost diesel fuel have been allocated to farmers of the region to conduct harvesting and feedstuff preparing work. However, not all farmers pay for and take these petrol, oil and lubricants, which are offered for almost five tenge cheaper than on the market,” the report said.

Almost 940,000 tons of roughage have been prepared in the region which equals to 103 percent of the planned volume. The stock of roughage for one and a half year is planned to be prepared in a period of a month.
