Kazakhstan sees increase in companies backed by foreign capital

As of August 1, 2019 the number of legal entities, branches and representatives with participation of foreign capital amounted to 19,256 companies in Kazakhstan, which is a significant increase compared to 12,375 companies as of January 1, 2019, Trend reports with reference to the data of National Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan.

Thus, as of August 1, some 6,805 companies registered in Kazakhstan have been established with participation of Russian capital compared to 4,980 companies in the beginning of the year.

The number of companies registered with participation of Uzbekistan’s capital equals 1,094 as of August 1, 2019 compared to 757 companies as of January 1, 2019.

The number of companies in Kazakhstan with participation of Chinese capital equals 1,083 as of August 1, 2019 compared to 809 companies in the beginning of the 2019.

Furthermore, the fourth and fifth places by number of companies with participation of foreign country’s capital goes to Kyrgyzstan and The Netherlands. The number of companies created with capital of these countries amounts to 834 (320 companies as of January 1) and 669 companies (282 companies) respectively.

In addition, the number of companies in Kazakhstan established with participation of Azerbaijan’s capital equals 550 as of August 1, 2019 compared to 217 companies as of January 1, 2019.

According to the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, in order to attract foreign investments and to implement strategic investment projects a special attention in the country is being given to creation of more favorable conditions for investors.
