By Fakhri Vakilov - Trend:

The placing of a PLASTBAU plant in Uzbekistan will open a new page in the history of the Uzbekistan’s homebuilding industry, the representative of Swiss company Plastedil told Trend in an interview.

“The revival of this sector will significantly accelerate the implementation of the program of construction of social housing in all regions of the country,” the official added.

Recently Trend reported that Plastedil is creating a plant in Uzbekistan to produce innovative building materials (in particular, stationary formwork).

“First of all, we must say that Uzbekistan is a new market for Plastedil in promoting the PLASTBAU technology. We confirm that we are negotiating with various local entities, regional administrators and companies in order to place soon the first PLASTBAU factory in the country,” the representative said.

The PLASTBAU building elements, considered as a whole, constitute the PLASTBAU Building System, an innovative and industrialized method for the construction of monolithic buildings.

From representative’s point of view Uzbekistan can represent the ideal place to start the process of introducing this technology in Central Asia, since the modernization of the production of building materials and the modernization of the building techniques are key goals for the Uzbekistan’s Government.

Currently, in the construction sector of Uzbekistan there has been a tendency to use technology of monolithic construction. As representative noted, Swiss company offers a state-of-the-art innovative cast-in-place system for monolithic buildings in reinforced concrete. Industrial production of PLASTBAU system elements will allow construction companies in Uzbekistan to build energy-efficient buildings at an accelerated pace and economically.

“Our contribution to the modernization and rationalization of the Uzbekistan’s building industry would not consist of the mere supply of industrial production lines but it would consist, in a broader sense, of a supply of technology both of production and construction,” the official noted.

The representative added that the modernization will be carried out through the technical assistance and supply of know-how in all phases of the project, from the preparation of the factory to its operation and maintenance, from guidelines in the design of buildings to be built with the PLASTBAU System to instructions and field training on the most efficient working methods on site.

“PLASTEDIL set its goal for the next three years to supply at least three full-fledged PLASTBAU plants in the territory of Uzbekistan. The total production capacity of these plants should make it possible to build annually up to half a million square meters of housing per year,” the official stressed.

PLASTEDIL is a Swiss technology company whose activity in the construction industry began more than 50 years ago.

It is the exclusive owner in the whole world of both the brand and the technology, including the related patents.

The company’s main activity consists in the design, construction and supply of automated turn-key lines for the industrial production of the PLASTBAU building elements, mainly consisting in metal-reinforced EPS formworks for load-bearing walls, floors / roofs and walls partitions.
