Iran has signed a $9.9 million contract with Germany’s company for the purchase of the second aircraft controlling airports and flights, Siyavush Amir Mokri, executive director of the Iran Airports Company, said.

The flight information service (FIS) will be attached to the aircraft and spare parts will also be supplied, Mokri added, Trend reports referring to Mehr.

As for the US sanctions imposed against Iran, the German company has announced that any company may purchase the aircraft from the manufacturer.

He added that currently, the negotiations on the aircraft are underway with a third company and the result has been achieved.

The US imposed sanctions on Iran in November 2018 and expanded the list of sanctions several times.
