Kazakhstan takes measures for expansion of trade and non-commodity export

The Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov and Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan Atameken Ablay Myrzakhmetov signed a memorandum on understanding and cooperation, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the ministry.

The document oversees that the parties will cooperate in development of internal and foreign trade, promotion of goods of local manufacturers and expansion of non-commodity export markets, as well as strengthening of cooperation within Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), World Trade Organization (WTO) and trade with other countries.

In particular, the memorandum oversees the exchange of information of issues of developing trade activities, including statistics, violations of WTO or EAEU members of their responsibilities in relation to Kazakhstan, information on barriers and restriction of Kazakh entrepreneurs on foreign markets. Furthermore, the exchange of expertise in area of management and development of trade activities, negotiation of proposals on implementation of state management measures related to expertise of Atameken, which are concerned with responsibilities of Kazakhstan as a member of EAEU or WTO is overseen by memorandum. In addition, the memorandum provides for operational exchange of information on factors, which affect the change of pricing on socially important food items.

“We are sure that this document will become the base of long term cooperation and mutual fruitful work on development of trade in favor of Kazakh business,” Myrzakhmetov said.
