Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, Sept. 12

By Huseyn Hasanov – Trend:

All retail outlets in Ashgabat subordinate to the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan are planning to switch to electronic trade before the end of the year, Trend reports referring to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

The project is implemented by Turkmenistan's Agzybirlik Tilsimaty company in cooperation with Ashgabat City Telephone Network. Some 186 stores will be united by the system that allows electronic tracking of goods including their receipt at warehouses, sales at stores, sales volumes and balances.

The introduction of this technology will allow conducting electronic reporting on sales and settlements with suppliers, more effectively controlling and managing the market, the article reads.

For convenience, a web resource will be created with information about each store - its address, contact details, and product range including quality indicators, date and place of production, packaging, and shelf life.

It will be possible to place an order with the delivery of goods and get consultations. A similar system is planned to be introduced in the country’s regions within two years.
