Steel exports by Iran's major steel companies up by 37%

Exports by Iran’s major steel companies increased by 37 percent during the fifth month of the current Iranian year (July 23 - August 22), Trend reports referring to the website of Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the company, Iranian companies exported 633,050 tons of steel this month. This figure stood at 462,000 tons during the same month of the previous year.

As reported, Khouzestan Steel Company exported 174,772 tons of products, South Kaveh Steel Company exported 152,150 tons, Esfahan Steel Company - 103,830 tons, and Mobarekeh Steel Company - 91,265 tons of products.

Hormozgan Steel Company exported 79,274 tons of products, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company exported 18,775 tons, Bonab Steel Company - 7,523 tons, Khorasan Steel Complex Company - 5,011 tons, and Iran Alloy Steel Company - 510 tons of products, the company said.

IMIDRO noted that major Iranian steel companies exported more than 2.904 million tons of steel during five months (March 21 - August 2019) of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), which shows a 4-percent decrease compared to the same period last year.
