The total value of food production in Azerbaijan reached 2.259 billion manats in January-August 2019, which is 15.7 percent more than in the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
The production of beverages increased by 44.9 percent up to 319.823 million manats, while the production of tobacco products - by 32.2 percent to 77.448 million manats in January-August 2019.
In total, food, beverages and tobacco products worth 2.656 billion manats were produced in January-August 2019 (an increase by 22.2 percent for the year).
