Uzbekistan, Russia to create JV for construction of biotechnological complex

A memorandum on cooperation in the field of bio and pharmaceutical technologies was signed between Inter Vet LLC (Uzbekistan) and Agrovet JSC (Russia), Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The document provides for the construction of a biotechnological complex in the form of a joint venture for the production of veterinary biological and pharmaceutical preparations in the Tashkent region (Uzbekistan). The project cost is $10 million.

The Russian side will develop a feasibility study for the project, a planning solution for the complex, and provide technological and regulatory documentation. In addition, the employees of the enterprise will be trained on the basis of Agrovet JSC.

It is planned to register a joint venture before the end of this year, and by March 2020, project documentation will be prepared and the necessary permits received.

The Agrovet company was founded in 1991. It is currently the leading research and production enterprise in the field of veterinary biotechnology and the provision of modern and high-quality veterinary drugs.
