Gold producing company of Kazakhstan to increase extraction volume

Kazakhstan’s AK Altynalmas JSC plans to extract up to 2.5 million tons of gold ore on the Dolinnoye field in country’s Karaganda region starting from 2020, a spokesperson for the company told Trend.

In June of this year, the Eurasian Development Bank has allocated funds to Altynalmas JSC in order enable the company to purchase and further develop the Dolinnoye field.

According to the source, currently the company is developing fields in Zhambyl region and East Kazakhstan regions.

“These are the Svetinskoye, Karyernioye, Akbakay, Kenzhem, Beskempir, Aksakal, Baktay and Mizek fields, and Karyerniy, Dolinnoye and Pustinnoye areas,” the company said.

The total value of gold ore extracted by the company exceeds three million tons a year.

“The volume of extraction on the Akbakay cluster in Zhambyl region is 850,000 tons of gold ore a year and the volume of extraction of Pustinnoye field is 2.5 million tons a year. The Dolinnoye field is not being developed at the moment but there are plans to extract 2.5 million tons of gold ore from the field since year 2020,” the spokesperson for the company said.

AK Altynalmas JSC is one of the most famous gold producers in the Republic of Kazakhstan and performs operations on subsoil use in a variety of gold ore objects.
