Small business facility to open in Azerbaijani district

As part of a project being implemented in Azerbaijan with the financial support of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, there are plans to open a small business facility in the country’s Tovuz district, Head of the Association Sakina Babayeva told Trend.

This includes opening of a women’s beauty salon, she said.

“In the near future, the process of equipping the new facility will begin, all the necessary equipment will be delivered for the provision of services,” she noted. “Association consultants will conduct trainings for women entrepreneurs who are interested in opening similar small business facilities. They will be provided with information on doing business and the provision of services in this sphere.”

She reminded that small facilities are opening in the Tovuz district as part of a project worth 120,000 manats.

The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan was established with the support of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan in October 2017.

Over 143,000 women are engaged in business activity in Azerbaijan, according to the statistics.
