In January-August 2019 Uzbekistan produced about 172,750 cars, which is 49.5 percent higher compared to the same period in 2018, Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the Committee, truck production increased by 40.5 percent in the reporting period - up to 3,450 units.
The production of automobile engines in Uzbekistan in January-August 2019 amounted to 131,000. The growth compared to January 2018 amounted to 53.5 percent.
In January-August 2019, the volume of tractor production amounted to 983 units, which is 60.4 percent less compared to the same period in 2018.
