Kazakhstan may export trains to Lithuania

Kazakhstan and Lithuania discussed the possibility of exporting rolling stock to Lithuania, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan.

The discussion took place during the third meeting of the Kazakh-Latvian Working Group on Transport chaired by Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan Berik Kamaliyev and Vice Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania Vladislav Kondratovich held on September 18, 2019, within the Translogistica Kazakhstan 2019 International Exhibition.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in area of railway, automobile and air transport was discussed.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on the final quota of release forms for 2019 and the preliminary one for 2020, talked the possibility of rolling stock export to Lithuania. They also agreed to establish close business cooperation in development of container transport and continue to review the potential possibilities of implementation of direct flights between the counties.
