Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Egypt Arman Issagaliyev has stated the readiness of Kazakh party for creation of small satellites for scientific and commercial purposes in cooperation with Egyptian Space Agency, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
This became known during the meeting between Issagaliyev and the Executive Chairman of Egyptian Space Agency Mohammed Ahmed Al-Kusi held on September 17, 2019 in Egypt.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways for activation of cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Development, Defense and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, Kazakh specialized companies and the Egyptian Space Agency. The presentation on development of space industry in Kazakhstan, which covered the manufacturing capacities of Kazakh companies, has also been held within the meeting.
Furthermore, the readiness of Kazakh party for creation of small satellites for scientific and commercial purposes in cooperation with Egyptian Space Agency, training of employees and students of Egypt in specialized laboratories of Ghalam LLP, as well as mutual exchange of satellite images has been expressed.
In his turn, Al-Kusi stated interest of Egyptian party to expand the cooperation with Kazakhstan. According to him, the Kazakh law on space activity, which has entered into force in 2012, has been used as a base for development of Egyptian law on space. He also noted his readiness to visit Nur-Sultan and to sign the agreement on cooperation with Ministry of Digital Development, Defense and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan.
