The value of investments into the economy of Kazakhstan's Almaty region amounted to 305.3 billion tenge (approximately $789.961 million) during January-August 2019, which is 3.3 percent more compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the press office of prime minister of Kazakhstan.
This became known during the working trip of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin to Almaty region, where he got acquainted with the implementation of investment projects, as well as execution of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s instructions regarding the development of the region’s economy.
Thus, in Enbekshikazakh district of Almaty region, Mamin got acquainted with the development of projects in the field of agricultural products processing, i.e. apple orchards of the export-oriented Amal Bio LLP, an experimental field for growing corn and a digital dairy farm of APK Adal JSC, which has significant export potential.
In the Zhambyl region, Mamin visited the meat factory of EmpireFood LLP, and in the Karasai district, he visited the confectionery factory of Hamle LLP.
Furthermore, the value of investments in fixed assets of the Almaty region amounted to 305.3 billion tenge during first eight months of 2019 or 103.3 percent to the corresponding period last year. The growth was achieved through the implementation of the Industrialization Map projects, the Nurly Zhol, Nurly Zher programs, gas supply, construction of the Alacem cement plant, Sarybulak 2 wind farm, and Lukoil lubricants production plant.
In 2019, in the framework of the State Pogram of Industrial and Innovative Development and the Industrialization Map, 11 projects for 61.9 billion tenge are planned to be implemented with the creation of 1,214 jobs.
The large ones include Agrokompleks Zhetysu Mazhiko LLP (construction of an oil and fat products and animal feed production complex) and Meat Processing and Service.
