How much investments needed for new building of Baku Textile Factory?

About three million manats will be invested in the construction of a new five-story building of Azerbaijan’s Baku Textile Factory, Director of the factory and Head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Sakina Babayeva told Trend.

She said that according to preliminary estimates, investments worth 2.7 million manats are envisaged in the construction of the new facility.

“The construction of the new facility is financed through own funds of the Baku Textile Factory,” she noted. “We also rely on state financial support of up to one million manats through the National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support (NFES).”

The director noted that the factory will appeal to the NFES with this proposal.

“The new building is being constructed in the Binagadi district of Baku, and all work should be completed in February next year,” he said. “Presently, construction of the second floor of the new industrial facility continues. As many as 110 new jobs are expected to be created, and in parallel, new production lines will be commissioned.”

Seven production lines are operating at the Baku Textile Factory and all function in continuous mode. In total, the enterprise employs 300 professional staff members.

The factory has been operating since 1939. It was the first one in the South Caucasus region in the field of textile industry.

The enterprise carries out its activities in accordance with European standards. It has the latest equipment and applies advanced technologies from Germany and Japan.

The factory’s production includes casual clothing, evening gown, children’s clothing, medical clothing, overalls, school uniforms, sportswear, all types of work clothing, promotional clothing and military uniforms.
