Baku Textile Factory eyes to increase production in order to expand exports

The Baku Textile Factory is expanding the production of socks for export, director of the factory and head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Sakina Babayeva told Trend.

She said that the production volumes of these products are planned to be increased to 15-20 percent.

“Presently, production volumes are monthly up to 5,000-10,000 pairs of socks,” she noted. “We plan to increase production volumes by 1.5 times next year, as well as establish exports to Saudi Arabia, several types of children’s and men’s socks have already been sent to this market.”

Seven production lines are operating at the Baku Textile Factory and all function in continuous mode. In total, the enterprise employs 300 professional staff members.

The factory has been operating since 1939. It was the first one in the South Caucasus region in the field of textile industry.

The enterprise carries out its activities in accordance with European standards. It has the latest equipment and applies advanced technologies from Germany and Japan.

The factory’s production includes casual clothing, evening gown, children’s clothing, medical clothing, overalls, school uniforms, sportswear, all types of work clothing, promotional clothing and military uniforms.
