Products worth $511 million were exported from Iran’s Markazi province during six months of this Iranian year (March 21-September 22), Mohammed Reza Hajipour, Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Markazi province, said.
Some 912,000 tons of the products were exported and the average price was $560 per ton, Hajipur added, Trend reports referring to ISNA.
He added that the export volume increased by 20 percent while export value - by two percent during six months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last year.
These products were exported to 68 countries, mainly Afghanistan, Turkey, Iraq, Pakistan and Turkmenistan, Hajipour said.
Among the main exported products were petrochemicals, aluminum ingots, fruit juices, chemicals, various glass, polyester and others, he said.
Hajipour said that the goods worth $242 million were imported to the province during the first six months of the current Iranian year.
The import volume increased by 20 percent while import value - by 39 percent during the first six months compared to the same period of last year, he said.
Hajipour said that among the main imported products were alumina powder, carbon anode, pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, steel pipes, cotton and other products.
He added that the products were imported from 45 countries, mainly from China, Turkey, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and Brazil.
