On October 10, a meeting was held with the first secretary of the Embassy of Egypt in Uzbekistan, Khalid Mohammed Fekri at Uzbekistan’s Association of leather-footwear and fur enterprises - "Uzcharmsanoat", Trend reports citing the association.
The representative of the diplomatic mission noted that the country has created great opportunities for foreign investors, and that their rights and interests are guaranteed by law.
Egyptian investors also plan to invest in the leather and footwear industry of Uzbekistan, the Egyptian diplomat noted.
At the meeting, the leadership of Uzcharmsanoat provided detailed information on what preferences the state provides for members of the association.
The parties also discussed the agenda of business meetings with two Egyptian delegations who will visit Uzbekistan. It should be noted that the composition of the business groups will include the heads of large enterprises and qualified technologists.
It is planned to organize B2B contacts with manufacturers of leather and footwear products in Uzbekistan for them. During the current meeting, the expediency of cooperation with the Association in ensuring the implementation of mutually beneficial agreements was noted. Other issues related to further development of bilateral cooperation were also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, Fekri invited the leadership of the Uzcharmsanoat Association to Egypt to get acquainted with the activities of the country's large industrial zone.
