The number of cars sold in Kazakhstan during first nine months of 2019 amounted to 42,243 cars, which is 18.3 percent more compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the data of KazAutoProm.
The value of the cars sold amounted to 451.2 billion tenge (approximately $1.18 billion), which is 27.1 percent more than during the same period of last year.
Furthermore, the number of cars sold in Kazakhstan in September amounted to 5,954 cars, which is 10 percent more than during the the same month of last year. The value of the cars sold equaled 54.7 billion tenge (approximately $141.3 million), having exceed the indicator of the same period of last year by 11.9 percent.
Some 56.4 percent of cars sold accounted for locally manufactured cars, whereas some 43.6 percent of the cars accounted for import.
TOP-10 of most purchased cars includes LADA (11,092 cars), Toyota (10,524 cars), Hyundai (10,008 cars), KIA (2,358 cars), Renault (1,821 cars), GAZ (1,726 cars), Nissan (1,664 cars), Ravon (1,576 cars), UAZ (1,361 cars) and Volkswagen (1,289 cars).
Furthermore, the largest number of cars purchased during first nine months of 2019 accounts for cities such as Almaty (13,097 cars), Nur-Sultan (9,649 cars), Shymkent (3,726 cars), Atyrau (3,275 cars), Karaganda (2,956 cars), Kostanay (2,859 cars), Uralsk (2,115 cars), Ust-Kamenogorsk (2,045 cars), Aktau (1,861 cars) и Pavlodar (1,730 cars).
