A delegation of German business circles will visit Uzbekistan’s Andijan city on Oct. 19-20 to participate in the Open Andijan International Investment Forum, Trend reports citing Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry.
The visit is being organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany together with the administration of Andijan region.
The delegation includes more than 20 representatives of German companies working in the areas of agricultural machinery, the automotive, food and textile industries, the production of building materials, agricultural processing, banking and consulting services and others.
According to the Embassy, among the delegation members are representatives of leading financial institutions and companies such as Commerzbank and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, Trützschler GmbH & Co. KG, Max Holder GmbH, ABM Anlagenbau und Maschinentechnik GmbH, Gühring GmbH, SR Business Germany, ITM Investment Trade Marketing GmbH, Rödl & Partner and RSP Int.
German businessmen will get acquainted with the investment and export potential of the Andijan region, as well as establish direct contacts with local entrepreneurs.
It is planned that within the framework of the business forum, representatives of German business circles will hold bilateral meetings with their Uzbek partners in the G2B and B2B formats, as a result of which the sides will reach agreements specific investment projects and export contracts.
Currently, joint projects totaling more than 200 million euros are already being implemented in Andijan region with the participation of German capital.
In particular, German companies are participating in projects to modernize the knitwear factory and build a plant for production of refined vegetable oil in the Kurgantepa district, build a transport and logistics center in the Khojaabad region and produce dried fruits and spices in the Shakhrikhansky district.
