According to the results of the Uzbek-American business forum in Washington, an agreement was reached at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center to organize the export of Uzbek textile products to the US market, Trend reports citing Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry.
The parties also agreed to cooperate on introduction of VISA technologies in electronic payment systems of Uzbekistan and on the organization of production of safety shoes in Kashkadarya region with participation of the US Gulf Industrial Solutions distributor, wholesaler and retailer of welding, safety and construction supplies.
Representatives of both countries also agreed to supply humanitarian aid worth $800,000 in the form of medical equipment to the Aral Sea region from the US Project Cure non-profit, humanitarian relief organization.
In addition, during the business forum, the official opening ceremony of two Uzbek trading houses, Samarkand Gilamlari and Gulnor, for the sale of silk carpets and textile products in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was held.
