Sheki Sherab LLC, an Azerbaijani winery, plans to launch new production line, the winery’s director Vidadi Hasanov told Trend.

This includes production of liquors with low concentration of alcohol, Hasanov said.

“In order to implement this project, it is necessary to purchase expensive equipment from abroad,” the director added. “This issue is being considered at the level of the Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation (AIC). To launch a new production line, major investments of 2 million manat ($1.1 million) are required. It is assumed that financial support will come from the state. In addition, the plant will also make its financial contribution to the procurement of expensive equipment. We expect to purchase expensive modern European equipment.”

In the process of manufacturing a new line of alcoholic products, German technologies will also be introduced, and the line is expected to be launched early next year, Hasanov said.

The director noted that liquors with a low concentration of alcohol are in great demand in Europe.

"We plan to export a new product of the plant to several European countries,” Hasanov added. “Export volumes will depend on orders that will be received from foreign partners.”

Sheki Sherab LLC was founded in 2006 with a design production capacity of 210,000 decaliters, that is, 280,000 bottles of wine. The company is equipped with equipment of Italy’s DELLA TOFFOLA company.

The territory of the enterprise contains buildings for packaging, weighing, an office building, a pump room, as well as premises for various technological equipment. There are also two supply bins for receiving white and red grapes, two lines for production of white and red wines, and another line for the production of elite brands of wine.
