First charter flight from Istanbul lands in Uzbekistan

Turkish Atlasglobal Airlines’ Airbus-321 made its first charter flight to Uzbekistan on the Istanbul-Bukhara route, Trend reports citing the press service of Uzbekistan’s State Committee for Tourism.

The first guests of the charter flight from Istanbul to the Bukhara International Airport were solemnly greeted by representatives of Bukhara region’s administration.

Following the route Istanbul-Bukhara, Atlasglobal Airlines’ Airbus-321 plane made its first flight with the support of the Uzbekistan’s Grand Atlas Discovery company. Turkish journalists, bloggers, executives and employees of travel companies, as well as a number of religious figures and scholars were charter flight’s passengers.

"We are very pleased that we came to hospitable Uzbekistan. We have been waiting for this for several years, because in Turkey there are a lot of people who want to visit here to enjoy the history, culture and traditions of this unique country," said the head of the Turkish "Ucbey" tourism company Muhammad Gulseren.

Turkish Atlasglobal Airlines launched direct charter flights to the Uzbek cities of Bukhara and Samarkand in order to develop pilgrimage tourism.

From Oct. 31 to Nov. 4, Atlasglobal Airlines will carry out two charter flights Istanbul-Bukhara and Istanbul-Samarkand in order to organize an information tour involving journalists, bloggers, executives and employees of travel agencies, as well as religious figures and scholars, read the message.

Starting with the IATA summer 2020 season, Atlasglobal Airlines has planned 50 flights for the development of pilgrimage tourism, within the framework of which more than 10,000 tourists are expected to arrive.
