TEHRAN, Iran, Nov.6
Trend:
The priority of Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade is to develop exports, said deputy minister Saeed Zarandi, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"The current policies are in favor to support knowledge-based companies, and they can help create opportunities for development," he said.
"Utilizing knowledge based companies to create diversity in country's exports is important. The knowledge based companies had considerable growth in recent years and now it’s a good time to provide support for startup companies," he noted.
"The role of startups in marketing and identifying costumers has increased and it’s a good opportunity to be used in Iran's trade," Zarandi said.
"It's necessary to support developing startups to be more active in the neighboring countries and other countries as well. The neighboring countries are the priority," he added.
The official went on to say there should be a new approach towards the country's non-oil exports, manufacturing of good quality products for exports.
"Alternative policies are needed," Zarandi said.
"Supporting small or medium scale businesses through export consortiums will increase exports. Developing exports to 15 neighboring countries despite sanctions, is the priority of the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade," he said.
