Iran's major auto maker SAIPA has produced 53 types of auto parts domestically that would reduce imports by 150 million euros per year, said the SAIPA Group.
SAIPA Group has signed series of contracts with domestic producers valued $136 million to produce auto parts that will reduce the annual imports, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The domestic production of 14 other auto parts have been set on SAIPA agenda under contracts recently signed with Sazehgostar and Megamotor companies.
The domestic production of auto parts for every Tiba vehicle will reduce 418 euros of imports and the figure will reach to 600 euros in the future.
The contracts signed between SAPCO, Sazehgostar and Megamotor and 32 domestic auto part companies three months ago were aimed at producing 35 auto parts for one year consumption of Iran Khodro and SAIPA.
The were also signed contracts to manufacture 42 types of auto parts, which have ensured domestic production of 77 types of auto parts in total that will cut imports by 175 million euros a year.
