A total of 121 hotels will open in Georgia as part of Host in Georgia program and 3,490 suites will be unveiled for tourists, Trend reports citing Georgian media outlets.
As a result, over 2,990 new job places will be created and investments volume will hit 303.4 million lari ($102.3 million).
Hotels will be built in Borjomi, Bakuriani, Gudauri, Poti, Ureki, Nikortsminda, Kazbegi, Sagarejo, Gonio, Shekvetili, Telavi, Tskaltubo, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Mestia, Gurjaani and Gori.
The hotel industry development enables Georgian entrepreneurs to foster tourism business, create new job places and attract more tourists.
The state Host in Georgia program offers the business society in the regions to build new hotels with the state support. It enables entrepreneurs to have access to finances and consulting services. Moreover, the program stimulates sharing experience of the world’s successful brands and co-funding the so-called franchising agreement.
Within the Host in Georgia program, the state co-finances the business projects of entrepreneurs who want to build a new hotel in any region of Georgia except Tbilisi, the capital, and Black Sea resort town Batumi.
